The shaded region is
(1)/(6) of the whole circle. That means, the shaded region is 1 part of 6 parts in the circle.

Shaded region has area of 7.5 square centimeters. This is 1 part.

So, the area of 6 parts would be
7.5*6=45 square centimeters.

6 parts IS the WHOLE circle, hence, the area of the circle is 45 square centimeters.
