I will use the quadratic formula to solve and find the solutions of the equation:

\frac{-b\pm\sqrt[]{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

In the case of 4x^2 - 28x + 130:

a = 4

b = -28

c = 130

Thus:

\frac{-(-28)\pm\sqrt[]{-28^2-4*4*130}}{2*4}

\frac{28\pm\sqrt[]{-1296}}{8}

(28\pm36i)/(8)

The first solution will be:

(28+36i)/(8)=3.5+4.5i

The second solution will be:

(28-36i)/(8)=3.5-4.5i

Answer:

x=\mleft\lbrace(28+36i)/(8),(28-36i)/(8)\mright\rbrace
