The term to find the slope is Y2-Y1/X2-X2. So it becomes -3-6/5-(-2) which translates to -3-6/5+2 and YOUR FINAL ANSWER IS: -9/7.

The slope is m = rise/run
m = ( -3 - 6 ) / ( 5 - ( -2 )) = -9 / ( 5 + 2 ) = - 9/7
