the value of the 5 is 50 and the value of the 8 is 8 and we know that because of the number of digits after it

You have to just check the ones and the tenths place..... And multiply the number in ones place with one and tenths place with ten. So, 5×10=50 & 8×1=8. Hope it helps:)
