What is the slope of a line that passes through (–8,–16) and (18,5)?

I don't quite know how to write the multiple choice that is there (it's images) but I'll try my best.

slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
(-8.-16)...x1 = -8 and y1 = -16
(18,5)...x2 = 18 and y2 = 5
now we sub
slope = (5 - (-16) / (18 - (-8) = (5 + 16) / (18 + 8) = 21/26

Answer:

(21)/(26)

Explanation:

(–8,–16) and (18,5)

To find slope we use formula
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

(-8,-16) is (x1,y1)

(18,5) is (x2,y2)

Now plug in the values and find out the slope

slope =
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

slope =
(5-(-16))/(18-(-8))

slope =
(21)/(26)
