Total charge = $800 + extra charge
$3000 = $800 + extra charge
Extra charge = $2200
charge per hour = x
x = charge/hour
x = $2200/5
x = 440 $/hr

3,000 - 800 = 2,200 (additional charges)
800 + 5x = 3000
-800 -800
5x = 2,200
x = 2,200/5
x = 440
