Aaliyah currently has $30, and is earning $15 every day doing work around the neighborhood. Wyatt currently has $350, and he is spending $5 each day on snacks and other expenses. He doesn't have a job. After how many days will they have the same amount of money?

With the given information, we can make an equation, where "x" will be the number of days.

Since Aaliyah earns $15 per day, and currently has $30, in "x" number of days will have:

30+15x

For Wyatt, since he has $350, but he spends $5 per day, in "x" number of days he will have:

350-5x

Next, we need to equal this two expression to find the number of days when they will have the same amount of money:

30+15x=350-5x

Solving this equation for x:

Step 1. Add 5x to both sides:

\begin{gathered} 30+15x+5x=350-5x+5x \\ 30+20x=350 \end{gathered}

Step 2. Substract 30 from both sides:

\begin{gathered} 30-30+20x=350-30 \\ 20x=320 \end{gathered}

Step 3. Divide both sides by 20:
