The probability of an event is the ratio of the number of favourable outcomes and the total number.

Part (a)

In case (a), the number of favorable outcomes is 16 + 36 =52 and the total number is 200. Then, we have

P(\text{ no car or one car )=}(52)/(200)=(13)/(50)=0.26

In order to convert this result into percentage, we need to multiply by 100% the last result. Therefore, the answer for (a) is: 26 %

Part (b)

Similarly, the number of favorable outcomes for this case is: 16+76=92. Then, we get

P(\text{homecowners)}=(92)/(200)=0.46

Therefore, by multiplying by 100%, the answer is: 46 %
