Jason and Adam are using a kit to build their own electronics board for a computer project. They use a scale drawing included in the instructions to help build the board.Jason will use the scale factor to find the board's actual length and width, then multiply those dimensions to find the board's area.Adam says he knows another way.Answer the questions to show how Adam could find the area of the scale drawing, and then use this strategy to find the area of the electronics board.1. What is the area of the board shown on the scale drawing? Explain how you found the area.2. What is the area of the actual electronics board? And dont forget units

Given

Drawing

1. What is the area of the board shown on the scale drawing?

The area is equal to 1800. Since it is a rectangle you can calculate the area by multiplying its sides.

A = 50*36 = 1800 sq cm

2. What is the area of the actual electronics board?

Let's calculate the actual dimensions of the electronic card using the scale factor

Sides

\begin{gathered} 50\cdot(1)/(5)=10 \\ 36\cdot(1)/(5)=7.2 \end{gathered}

The actual area is calculated by multiplying these new dimensions

A = 10*7.2

A = 72

The area of the electronic card would be 72 square centimeters.
