Given the parent functions f(x) = 3x + 2 and g(x) = 5x − 10, what is g(x) − f(x)?

A) g(x) − f(x) = 5x − 8 − 3x

B) g(x) − f(x) = 5x − 12 − 3x

C) g(x) − f(x) = 3x − 8 − 5x

D) g(x) − f(x) = 3x + 12 − 5x

as we know that
. g(x)-f(x)= 5x-10-(3x+2) by solving further

=5x-10-3x-2 rearrange
=5x-10-2-3x
=5x-12-3x
so i conclude option B is correct
hope it helps

f(x) = 3x + 2
g(x) = 5x - 10

g(x) - f(x) = (5x - 10) - (3x + 2)
g(x) - f(x) = (5x - 3x) + (-10 - 2)
g(x) - f(x) = 2x - 12

The answer is B.
