If you have a swim meet the next day at 8:00 am, you should do what the day before?

You have to ensure that you stay away from activities that may result in sore or stiff muscles and stay stress free.  You also have to eat a healthy dinner with lots of carbohydrates to give you energy for the next day and the finally get enough sleep so that you don't wake up feeling tired.

Eat a carbohydrate-rich dinner and drink plenty of water.
