6(x - 3) - 10 = 2(x + 3)
6x - 18 - 10 = 2x + 6
6x - 28 = 2x + 6
add 28 to both sides of the equation
6x = 2x + 34
subtract 2x from both sides of the equation
4x = 34
divide 4 from both sides of the equation
x = 8.5
