Some symptoms of the flu are similar to the common cold, but not as bad.
The symptoms of influenza are similar to the common cold, but flu gives a lot of aches because of high fever. Influenza causes tiredness.
Flu is more important
than a cold.

Well for your purposes I would answer False. However while they both have many similar symptoms the severity and differences in severity depend on the exact strain and the person in which has the flu or cold.
