JK + KL = JL

Replacing with JK = 4x + 2, KL = 2x - 6, and JL = 32, we get:

4x + 2 + 2x - 6 = 32

(4x + 2x) + (2 - 6) = 32

6x - 4 = 32

Solving for x:

6x = 32 + 4

6x = 36

x = 36/6

x = 6

Then:

JK = 4*6 + 2 = 26 cm

KL = 2*6 - 6 = 6 cm
