4x-2y=8
x-3y=-3
Multiply equation 2 by 4;
4x-2y=8
4x-12y=-12
Subtracting equation II from equation I;
10y=20
y=2
Replacing the value of y in equation;
4x-2y=8
4x-2(2)=8
4x-4=8
4x=12
x=3
