Needs Clarification Please! Explain how the graph of each given function is a transformation of the graph of y = x^2

1) y = -2x^2
i came up with reflecting the graph of y = x^2 then I'm not sure what the -2 does.
2)y =(x-5)^2

in 1. the graph would open down because of the negative sign in front of the 2. The 2 in front of the x, would excel the growth of the graph by a factor of 2, making it more narrow.

on the second problem the -5, being that it is tied to the x and being squared and inside of the (), would cause the graph to shift 5 units to the right (always opposite of the sign in front of the number.
