How are islands and ridge valleys similar? A. They are both caused by earthquakes. B. They both involve volcanoes. C. They both happen at convergent fault boundaries. D. They are both examples of destructive forces.

I also believe that the answer is B. When a volcano erupts in water the lava hardens and after doing this so many times it forms an island. When a volcano erupts on land the lava can overtime carve out places such as ridge valleys.

In my opinion, the correct answer among the choices listed above is option B. Islands and ridge valleys are similar in a sense that both land forms involve volcanoes. It may be that both of them have volcanoes or they are made from volcanoes.
