Daimyö
The feudal system in Japan included the shogun, daimyo, samurai, and peasants who worked the land.
The daimyo were feudal land owners who only answered to the shogun. Each daimyo was in control of their lands and samurai were employed by the daimyo to protect the lands. Peasants were used to work the land and would pay taxes to the daimyo in exchange for land and protection.
