Since the length of the curtain is 2 1/2 yards

Since the total cost, she paid is 15 dollars

Then to find the cost per yard divide 15 by 2 1/2

At first change 2 1/2 to an improper fraction

2(1)/(2)=(2*2+1)/(2)=(4+1)/(2)=(5)/(2)

Now divide 15 by 5/2

(15)/((5)/(2))=15*(2)/(5)=(15*2)/(5)=(30)/(5)=6

Then the cost of 1 yard is 6 dollars

The cost per yard is $6
