The basic difference between a comedy and a tragedy is that tragedies are sad and depressing, full of drama, etc. and comedies are happy and hilarious! You'll want to laugh the whole way through.
(Fun Fact: Comedies and Tragedies originated in Ancient Greece)
Hope that helped!
