Answer:

(12,-1)

Explanation:

y-x=-13

y=-13+x add x to both sides

3(-13+x)-4x=-51 substitute x into the second equation

-39+3x-4x=51 simplify

3x-4x=-12 add 39 to both sides

-x=-12 simplify

x=12 divide by negative 1

3y-4x=-51 original second equation

3y-4(12)=-51 substitute x into the equation

3y-48=-51 simplify

3y=-3 add 48 to both sides

y=-1 divide by three

y - x = -13.....y = x - 13
now sub x - 13 in for y into the other equation

-4x + 3(x - 13) = -51
-4x + 3x - 39 = -51
-4x + 3x = -51 + 39
-x = - 12
x = 12

y = x - 13
y = 12 - 13
y = -1

ur solution is : (12,-1)
