m = (y_(2) - y_(1))/(c_(2) - x_(1)) = (-5 - 1)/(7 - (-1)) = (-6)/(7 + 1) = (-6)/(8) = (-3)/(4) = -(3)/(4)

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)
y - 1 = ⁻³/₄[x - (-1)]
y - 1 = ⁻³/₄(x + 1)
y - 1 = ⁻³/₄(x) - ³/₄(1)
y - 1 = ⁻³/₄x - ³/₄
+1 + 1
y = ⁻³/₄x + ¹/₄
