The general redox reaction will be,


X+Y^(n+)\rightarrow X^(n+)+Y

In this reaction, X is the most reactive metal and
Y^(n+) is the less reactive metal that means the most reactive metal will lose our electrons for less reactive metals. The more reactive metal act as an oxidizing agent and less reactive metal act as a reducing agent.

According to the reactivity series, the iron (Fe), sodium (Na) and cadmium (Cd) metals are more reactive metals than the silver metal. So, these metals will easily give up its electrons to silver in a redox reaction.
