find ones
example
6/2=(3/1)(2/2)=3

try to factor out 5xy
25xy^4=(5xy)(5y^3)
60xy^3=(5xy)(12y^2)
25xy^4+60xy^3=(5xy)(5y^3+12y^2)

(25xy^4+60xy^3)/(5xy)=
(
(5y^3+12y^2)/(1))(
(5xy)/(5xy))=
5y^3+12y^2

We may divide the first term, 25xy^4 first by the divisor, 5xy. For variables the quotient is obtained by subtracting their exponents. For the first term, the answer is 5y³. For the second term, 60xy^3 divided by 5xy, the answer is 12y². Thus, the answer is 5y³ + 12y².
