Hello,
y=k(x-1)²-9
and -6=k*1-9==>k=3
y=3(x-1)²-9
y=0==>3(x-1)²=9==>(x-1)²=3
==>x=1+√3 or x=1-√3
x-intercepts are (1+√3,0) (1-√3,0)
