Part A

Let's observe that the lenght of the bigf rectangle is 16 feet and the length of the small rectangle is 8 feet, therefore the ratio is:

16:8, if we simplify it, we get 2:1.

Part B

Now, we can can calculate the length of the missing side, as follows:

2:1 = 11:x

11 = 2x

Dividing by 2 at both sides:

x = 5.5 feet
