substitute in the formula of slope


m=((y_2-y_1))/((x_2-x_1))

Looking at the graph

Find out the initial value or y-intercept (value of y when the value of x=0)

the y-intercept is the ordered pair (0,b)

step 3

Find out the equation of the line in slope-intercept form

y=mx+b

substitute the value of m and b

to obtain the equation of the trend line
