An organism that produce its by photosynthesis MUST BE PLACED IN THE PLANTAE KINGDOM. Ability to produce their own food is the major distinguishing features of plants. Because of the chloroplast pigment that is present in their cells, plants are able to make their own food using the energy of the sun, thus they are described as primary producers.
