Simple events are the events where one experiment happens at a time and it will be having a single outcome.
The probability of rolling a 5 on a die is 1/6, because there are six sides and one 5
And the
probability of drawing a jack from a deck of playing cards is 4/52, because there are 4 jacks and 52 cards.

The simple event is one outcome like if I rolled a dice and got a two that is a simple event and the probability was 1/6 for getting that specific number the odds on a die don't change unless it's a trick one in which case the die doesn't count for this example all other options had an addition or multiplication with a different odd so it is no longer a simple event.
