The answer is the third option,
(j)/(g) .

Start by knowing that the cotangent function is the reciprocal of the tangent function. Because tangent is
(opp)/(adj), cotangent is
(adj)/(opp) .

For angle G, find the adjacent and opposite sides of the given triangle. These are j and g, respectively. Simply put those into the contangent function, and you have your answer.

\cot(G)= (adj)/(opp) = (j)/(g)

A cotangent (cot) is the adjacent side (not the hypotenuse or side not containing the right angle) over the opposite side, so
cot(G) = (j)/(g) or the third answer.
