y-12=-5(x+2)

Explanation:

the point slope equation formula is

y-y₁=m(x-x₁)

being (x₁;y₁) = (-2, 12) and m= -5

then

y-12=-5(x+2)

to check that is the same equation we can isolate y

y=-5(x+2)+12

y=-5x-10+12

y=-5x+2
