This is from my notes, am I correct? Can you add anything on to this? It’s about how agricultural expansion leads to deforestation Modern agriculture can lead to land expansions. In consequence, natural forests can be negatively impacted because the surrounding trees are removed from the arable land and then the area is used for agricultural purposes.

Deforestation is caused by all types of agriculture, extensive and intensive. In extensive agriculture, this happens because it uses larger areas, where the local flora is removed to be substituted by crops. On the other hand, intensive agriculture uses pesticides and herbicides that can affect the local environment, not just during the use of the land, but after the land can no longer grow crops and neither other types of plants.
