Remember that

In a parallelogram, opposite angles are congruent and consecutive angles are supplementary

so

Step 1

Find out the value of y

(12y+8)+(5y+2)=180 degrees -----> by consecutive interior angles

solve for y

17y+10=180

17y=180-10

17y=170

y=10

step 2

Find out the value of x

12y+8=2x ---->by opposite angles

substitute the value of y=10

12(10)+8=2x

120+8=2x

2x=128

x=64
