What is another name for this polynomial based on the number of terms it contains:

g(x)=-27x^3y^2
is it a trinomial?

Nope, that's a monomial. They're all stuck together since they're being multiplied, but if it were something like -27 - x^3 + y^2 where each term is separated by addition or subtraction, then it would be a trinomial.
