When writing inequalities, we have to make sure to use

≤ or <

or

≥ or >

correctly.

The difference is in the equals sign (below).

If the endpoints are included, we can use equal to sign (with less than or greater than symbol). If not included, we simply use > and <.

In our question, are told the age is IN-BETWEEn 23 and 34, so the endpoints of 23 and 34 aren't included, so we use < sign.

Thus, we can write:
