4 1/8=(8*4+1)/8=33/8

3 1/4=(4*3+1)/4=13/4

the formula is : a b/c=(c*a+b)/c

$4(1)/(8)=(4*8+1)/(8)=(32+1)/(8)=(33)/(8)\\\\\\3(1)/(4)=(3*4+1)/(4)=(12+1)/(4)=(13)/(12)$
