Slope = (change in ys) / (change in xs) = (8 - 6)/(6 - 3) = 2/3

Since the line pass through both points:

y = mx + c

Using point (3, 6) x = 3, y = 6

6 = 3m + c m = 2/3

6 = 3*(2/3) + c

6 = 2 + c

2 + c = 6

c = 6 - 2 = 4

y = mx + c m = (2/3) c = 4

y = (2/3)x + 4 in the slope intercept form.
