3.5 gallons = 14% of Total volume
Let the total volume be = x.
3.5 = (14/100)*x
3.5 = 14x / 100
3.5 * 100 = 14x
14x = 100 * 3.5
x = 100 * 3.5 / 14 Use a calculator
x = 25
The tank can hold total volume of 25 gallons.
