d_1, the height
h_1of the ramp is 12 inches.

At a point 6 feet from the driveway
d_2, the height
h_2 of the ramp is 18 inches.

The rate of change of the ramp’s incline is given by :-


R==(h_2-h_1)/(d_2-d_1)=(18-12)/(6-4)=(6)/(2)=3

Hence, the rate of change of the ramp’s incline is 3 inches per foot.
