How do you solve 9a²=16 in quadratic form? or do we need to use the form?

There is no need to use the quadratic form to solve this, the only thing we have to do is to isolate the variable "a" on the left, we can do it like this:


9a^2=16

Divide both sides by 9


\begin{gathered} (9a^2)/(9)=(16)/(9) \\ a^2=(16)/(9) \end{gathered}

Take the square root on both sides to get rid of the exponent


\begin{gathered} \sqrt[]{a^2}=\sqrt{(16)/(9)} \\ a=\pm\frac{\sqrt[]{16}}{√(9)} \\ a=\pm(4)/(3) \end{gathered}

Then, a = 4/3 and a = -4/3 are the solutions to the given expression
