Find the inverse of the linear function: y = 1/2 x + 3

What you want to do is change the variable positions of X and Y
So it would be a new equation of
x = 1/2y + 3
Then you would need Y to be by itself so you solve for that
x-3 = 1/2 y
then,
2(x-3) = y
Your inverse function is 2(x-3) = y
