L = w/4 + 8

where

L is length

w are weeks

To estimate the length of the person's hair after 10 weeks you have to replace w = 10 into the equation, as follows:

L = 10/4 + 8

L = 5/2 + 8

L = 21/2 = 10.5

The length will be 10.5 cm
