y = - x + 4
x + 2 ( -x + 4 )=-8
x- 2 x + 8 = -8
- x = - 8 - 8
- x = - 16
x = 16
y = - 16 + 4
y = - 12
The system has one solution ( x, y ) = ( 16, - 12 ).
