First find the value of 1 cake by dividing the price of all six by six. £1.80/6 can be seen more simply as 180p/6 which is 30p. Therefore 1 cake is 30p. Multiply this by ten and you have 300p, or £3.00. Ten cakes cost £3 :)

Answer: Cost of 10 cakes is £3.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Cost of 6 cakes = £ 1.80

Using unitary method,

Cost of 1 cake is given by

£1.80 ÷ 6= £0.30

So, Cost of 10 cakes would be

£0.30 × 10 = £3

Hence, Cost of 10 cakes is £3.
