Part A

we know that

The probability of choosing a green block is 3/5

so

The probability that not choosing a green block is (1-3/5)=2/5

therefore

the odds against choosing a green block is

2/3

Part B

Odds in favor are 7/8

so

The probability is 7/(7+8)=7/15
