They both feel loss and loneliness. Both of them are without their families. But Victor felt it from an early age when his mom died. The monster desperately wants a family.

The monster has not some kind of physical connection to Victor even in terms of DNA. Even their social characteristics do not coincide. However, they share the same personality. Both characters want to learn and they strive for knowledge. Additionally, both of them are lonely and they choose nature as a place of destination when both of them are distressed.
