What is the mean of the data set?

14,19,18,12,22,15,16,16,14,14,21,20

A. 16.75
B. 16.00
C. 17.75

The answer is A 16.75
Because...
To find the mean you add all the numbers together and divide it by how many numbers are.
So in this case you do: 14+19+18+12+22+15+16+16+14+14+21+20=201
The... (201 divide 12) 201 / 12 = 16.75
You get 12 by adding how many numbers there are (in between each + sign)

The answer is A.16.75, the way you have to find the mean is adding all the numbers in the data set. Example. 14,19,18,12,22,15,16,16,14,14,21,20 = 201 then you would have to divide the the number you just got by the numbers in the data set [which is 12 just count the numbers in the data set]. 201 ÷ 12 = 16.75.
