The roots of a qaudartic equation,

ax^2+bx+c=0

is,

x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt[]{(b)^2-4ac}}{2a}

The value of a, b and c for the given equation is,

a = 2

b = 7, and

c = -3.

Determine the roots of the quadratic equation.

\begin{gathered} x=\frac{-7\pm\sqrt[]{(7)^2-4\cdot2\cdot(-3)}}{2\cdot2} \\ =\frac{-7\pm\sqrt[]{49+24}}{4} \\ =\frac{-7\pm\sqrt[]{73}}{4} \end{gathered}

So option A is correct answer.
