We have the following equation given:

(20x+5)+(24x-1)=\text{ 180}

We can aggrupate similar terms in the left of the equation and we got:

(20x+24x)\text{ +(5}-1\text{)= 180}

And solving we got:

44x\text{ = 180}-4=\text{ 176}

And if we divide both sides by 44 we got:

x\text{= }(176)/(44)=\text{ 4}
