b the smaller one

a-b=18
2b=3a-56
==>
a-b=18 |*(-2)
3a-2b=56

==>a=56-2*18
==>a=20 and b=a-18=2

Proof a-b=20-2=18
2=3*20-56

Numbers are 20 and 2.
